Quitting in Style. Or is that a blaze of glory?

Flight attendant has enough of abusive passengers, swears over the intercom, grabs beer, and flees down the emergency chute.

Ever been pushed just that little bit too far? Ever thought about chucking it all right then and there? Stephen Slater a (former) flight attendant with Jet Blue airlines, clearly has.

After a surly passenger swore at him then hit him for telling him not to remove his luggage from the overhead bin before thge flight came to a stop and sit down (from CBS news)

Aviation sources said Slater got on the plane’s public address system and yelled:

“To the passenger who called me a (expletive), (expletive) you. I’ve been in the business 28 years. I’ve had it. That’s it.”

Sources said Slater then grabbed some beer from the plane, deployed the inflatable slide, and took off in his car parked in an employee lot.

Apparently, this resulted in a manhunt and several charges being laid. Maybe it's better not to have given into the impulse after all.
