Flexibility in workplace boosts employee health--studyStudy: Making employees happy.
According to a study done by the Durham University in England, flexibility and control of working hours and work practices was beneficial to employees’ mental and physical health, resulting in higher productivity. Approximately 16 000 employees were involved in the study. The purpose of was to discover how employers can save on medical expenses. The study also found that employers who motivate or try to dictate work schedules do not affect employees in a positive manner. The higher the flexibility in work schedules for employees the higher the ability to have healthy workplaces and work practices.
