Issues and Solutions: Mental Health in the WorkplaceA great resource for how employees and employers can help those with mental health issues.
Recently, I attended a workshop offered by
Mental Health Works. The workshop entitled Issues and Solutions: Mental Health in the Workplace, helped the attendees understand how remaining productive can help de-stress employees, allowed us to listen to real people with mental health problems talk about their working lives, and consider practical strategies. The workshop taught the attendees how to respectfully address mental health issues in the workplace. For those of you who did not get a chance to attend, there is a particular resource that you might want to take a look at. The resource is called Working Through It, it is a compilation of “stories of reclaiming well-being at work, off work, and returning to work.” The full online version of the above resource can be found at: www.gwlcentreformentalhealth.com/wti From the Mental Health Works website: An innovative resource for people who are feeling hopeless or overwhelmed with work or life. With practical insights from people who have worked through it to feel better and cope more effectively. Work Through It offers: - Practical strategies to assist in coping and surviving through tough times - An understanding of the struggle and how to overcome it - Professionals offering their expertise on navigating existing systems - Printable resources that offer straightforward and practical approaches Posted by: suhujitha on 2009-10-09 11:18:25 Next post: Dopamine impacts your willingness to work 2012-05-12 10:04:13 Other posts tagged mental health, health and income, stress:
